Krysia Pepper

Head of Acting - Senior Musical Theatre

Krysia trained at Oldham Theatre Workshop and whilst there won scholarships to attend Sylvia Young Theatre School and Italia Conti Theatre Arts.

After graduating, Krysia worked as an actress in various television shows working with Daniel Craig, Corin Redgrave, Patricia Routledge and others. She played Denise Welch’s daughter for over two years in the BBC hit show Born and Bred.

Krysia trained as a teacher and has now been teaching for over twenty years. Throughout her acting and writing career she taught LAMDA drama classes and film classes in North London. She has worked for various schools including Allsorts, Jigsaw, Cherwell Theatre Company and Stagecoach, as well as teaching in state schools. She has coached hundreds of children and put them through their LAMDA exams with great results.

Krysia began writing plays and scripts after training at the Soho Theatre. She then went on to workshop and perform plays at BAFTA and various theatres across London. As a writer, Krysia had her feature film optioned and has been longlisted twice for The BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Competition and longlisted twice for the BBC Writersroom. Krysia has been shortlisted for many TV comedy awards and currently has three shows in development, as well as a podcast on Apple and SoundCloud and has recently written a Web Series for Apple TV.

Her middle grade novel was selected for the Curtis Brown Children’s/YA writing course under the guidance of Catherine Johnson and she is doing a mentorship with the award winning Kitty Percy under Channel 4. Krys has two children of her own and understands how every child is unique. She aims to nurture, build confidence and bring out the best in every pupil, from script to stage/screen and beyond.
