Uniforms

PERFORMING ARTS

Clothing:
Pupils aged 4 – 13 should wear their CentreStage T-shirt with tracksuit bottoms, leggings, or jazz pants (Please note NO Jeans). Pupils aged 14-18 may wear their own choice of top, but they must be appropriate for a dance class.

Footwear:
All pupils aged 7-18 must wear jazz shoes or jazz sneakers. Pupils aged 4-6 years, who find tying laces difficult, may wear either flexible trainers or jazz shoes.

Hair:
All long hair must be tied neatly off the face


JAZZ AND TAP

Girls:
Black polycotton camisole leotard with black leggings
Black Jazz shoes for Jazz
Black Tap shoes for Tap

Boys:
Black Jazz pants and black vest top
Black Jazz shoes for Jazz
Black Tap shoes for Tap

Hair:
All long hair must be tied neatly off the face


BALLET

All pupils attending ballet classes are expected to wear the uniform appropriate for their class. Please note that the following are also the required uniforms for pupils taking their Royal Academy of Dance exams.

Please note that for reasons of safety, no jewellery may be worn in class.

Girls:

Baby Ballerinas & Pre-School:
Pale pink tutu, pale pink ballet socks, pink leather ballet shoes.

Pre-Primary & Primary:
Lilac (RAD Chloe style) short-sleeved cotton lycra leotard, RAD lilac georgette wrap-over skirt, pink ballet socks or pink ballet tights and pink leather ballet shoes.

Grades 1 & 2:
Lavender (RAD Aimee style) sleeveless cotton lycra leotard with matching waist elastic, pink ballet socks or pink ballet tights and pink leather ballet shoes. Black character skirt with white, pale blue & royal blue ribbons and black low-heeled character shoes.

Grades 3 - 5:
Navy (RAD Faith style) sleeveless cotton lycra leotard with matching waist elastic, pink ballet tights and pink leather or canvas ballet shoes. Black character skirt with white, pale blue & royal blue ribbons and black Cuban heeled character shoes.

Grades 6 - 8:
Burgundy (RAD Alice style) camisole cotton lycra leotard with matching waist elastic, Burgundy georgette mid-calf length skirt, pink ballet tights and pink leather or canvas ballet shoes. Black character skirt with white, mulberry & burgundy ribbons and black Cuban heeled character shoes.

NB. When children progress up to a grade that requires a change of leotard, it is still acceptable for them to continue in their old uniform until it is outgrown.

Boys:

Pre-School, Pre-Primary and Up:
Navy shorts, white neatly fitted T-shirt, white socks and black leather ballet shoes.

Grades 1 & 2:
Navy shorts, white neatly fitted T-shirt or vest or short-sleeved leotard, white socks and black leather ballet shoes, and black Oxford lace up character shoes.

Grades 3 - 8:
Navy cotton lycra stirrup tights or leggings. Short sleeved or sleeveless white leotard or closely fitting T-shirt or vest. Black leather ballet shoes and short white socks. Black Oxford, lace-up character shoes.

Hair:

Pre-School:
All girls should have their hair tied neatly off their faces in pleats, bunches or a ponytail.

Pre-Primary & all other grades:
All girls must have their hair tied back neatly, ideally in a bun - otherwise in a ponytail.
