Ballet
BALLET CLASSES
Ballet is a wonderful way to improve physical fitness and strength. In children it helps to aid their spatial awareness. It stimulates their listening skills, enhances their appreciation of music and builds their confidence. Children love to express themselves through dance and ballet is a joyous way to encourage expressive movement. Along the way, they may even make new friends!
We currently teach fun and imaginative Pre-School classes, Pre Primary, Primary, Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3 classes. All classes follow the syllabii of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). The RAD is one of the world's largest and most influential dance training organisations.

UNIFORM
Our uniforms follow the guidelines set out by The Royal Academy of Dance.
Girls:
Pre-School:
Pink short-sleeved leotard, pink voile full skirt, pink ballet socks and pink satin ballet shoes
Pre-Primary & Primary:
Pink short-sleeved polycotton lycra leotard, pink georgette wrapover skirt, pink ballet socks or pink ballet tights and pink satin ballet shoes
Grades 1 & 2:
Pink sleeveless polycotton lycra leotard with matching waist elastic, pink ballet socks or pink ballet tights and pink satin ballet shoes. Black character skirt with pink, lilac and blue ribbons and black low-heeled character shoes
Grades 3 & 4:
Navy short-sleeved polycotton lycra leotard with matching waist elastic; pink ballet tights and pink satin or leather ballet shoes. Black character skirt with pink, lilac and blue ribbons. Black Cuban heeled character shoes.
Hair:
Pre-School:
Girls may have their hair tied neatly off their faces in pleats, bunches or a ponytail.
Pre-Primary and Up:
All girls must have their hair tied neatly either in a bun or another style suitable for ballet. Fringes must be neatly held back off the face with matching hair clips.
No jewellery should be worn in class.
Boys:
Pre-School, Pre-Primary & Primary:
Navy shorts, white neatly fitted T-shirt, white socks and white canvas ballet shoes
Grades 1 & 2:
Navy shorts, white neatly fitted T-shirt or vest or short sleeved leotard, white socks and white canvas ballet shoes, and black Oxford lace up character shoes
FEES
- £4.00 for each 45 minute class
- £4.75 for each 1 hour class
- All classes are charged termly in advance
- Parents are required to provide half a term's notice if they wish to remove their child from classes
